Some details become part of a brand almost without noticing. They appear in the beginning, return in different forms, and gradually become something familiar.
For TUXIE LUXIE, one of those details has always been the heart.
It was there in the original identity, long before it found its way into the clothes I began making by hand. Over time, the heart has appeared in illustrations, photographs, fabrics, and small finishing touches. Sometimes prominently, sometimes almost hidden.
The shape itself is simple. What interests me is how differently it can be expressed.
A heart cut from soft fabric, with slightly frayed edges and stitches that remain visible. A raised pattern in ivory, where the shape is revealed through texture rather than color. A red heart drawn freely across a photograph, framing an ordinary moment with Tuxie.
Each has a different character, yet they belong to the same visual language.
I have always been drawn to details that carry a sense of the hand. The slight irregularity of a shape, the softness of a fabric, the way a stitch follows an edge. These small variations give an object its character. They also make the process of creating feel more personal.
When I make clothes for Tuxie, these details are part of what I enjoy most. Choosing a fabric, considering where a motif belongs, or deciding that a little heart should be just noticeable enough.
The heart also carries a more personal meaning.
Tuxie has always been at the center of this creative world. Our everyday life together, the places we've visited, and the small moments we've shared continue to influence how I see and make things.
Looking back at photographs and illustrations of us, I recognize the same affection that finds its way into the pieces I create today.
Perhaps that is why the heart continues to return.
Not as a seasonal symbol or a detail reserved for a particular occasion, but as something that has quietly become part of TUXIE LUXIE's identity.
Its colors, materials, and proportions may change. The feeling behind it remains familiar.
