It’s Fashion Week in New York, which always has me thinking about clothes, but also about the way fashion changes how we look at everything else.
Pattern is one of those things. Once you start noticing it, it moves easily from something worn to something lived with. A stripe on a shirt. A woven banquette. Blocks of color behind glass. Repetition across a wall. Different scales, different materials, but somehow part of the same conversation.

Maybe that’s what I love about fashion beyond the clothes themselves. It gives us another way of seeing.
Fashion changes. Visual language stays.

And then there’s West Side Mutt. Stripes made to be worn, but very much at home in the conversation.
